A Sign Video Bible for the Deaf, EPHATHA was published by SrAbhaya Francis FCC, Principal In-charge of the higher Secondary Section on 26 July, 2014. This opened up the Bible for the world of the Deaf, in order to help them to understand and become true believer.
‘Samadrishti – 2021’ sponsored by Sakshama, an Organisation spread across Kerala for the welfare of the differently abled was awarded to SrAbhaya Francis FCC on 07 Nov. 2021 for her noble services to the Deaf for their wholistic development.
Latest in the row of achievements is the Award, SrAbhayaFCC achieved from the All Kerala Parents Association of Deaf for her Love of the Deaf (BadiraSneha Award) on 14 Dec. 2021.
St Clare Audio – Verbal therapy Centre, Manickamangalam-Kottamam :
In Collaboration with the FCC Convent at Kottamam, St Clare Oral School for the Deaf founded an Audio – Verbal Therapy Centre (AVT) for the children who received back hearing through Cochlear Implantation at Kottamam, Kalady for the first time ever in Kerala. St Clare Audio – Verbal therapy Centre, Kottamam is the only institution of this nature, that’s established to accelerate amalgamation of these children to the main stream society, where in they do not require sign language, anymore. It’s a well-accepted enterprise now, with 50 children. The Institution offers qualified services of 8 teachers, 4 speech therapists and 2 AVT Therapists. Students are provided with free hostel facility, food and conveyance.
We organize here at St Clare Oral School for the Deaf Pre-Marriage courses and Counselling for the deaf to prepare youth of all creeds and faithsfor fruitful married life. We witness to their model family life and true service to the Society and Nation.
The alumni are involved in various streams of Society in the country and abroad. Some are employed in Government occupations and some others private. There are some who pursue their higher academics and researches. Successful family living is also a big achievement to the Institution.
